Carrefour has deployed 137 Plug Power Inc GenDrive-powered electric forklifts for the two to three shift operation.
The French supermarket giant showcased the GenDrive-powered lift trucks at the opening of its supply chain distribution centre in Vendin-le-Vieil, France.
Plug Power, the New York-based provider of energy solutions using hydrogen fuel cell technology, claims Carrefour can expect an increase in efficiency, reliability and improve operator-ergonomics within its STILL lift trucks, while reducing Carrefour’s carbon footprint.
