Geoscience technology company CGG has signed an agreement with energy services engineering firm Kent to drive forward the emerging transition through the development of decarbonisation opportunities.
Announced yesterday, April 6th, the partners aim to provide customers with ‘end-to-end’ services across the carbon capture, utilisation, and storage (CCUS) and hydrogen production and supply value chain.
The services will include subsurface characterisation for storage screening and evaluation, project engineering, planning, construction, commissioning, and late-life activities such as decommissioning and long-term monitoring.
With its Earth Data library of geology and seismic multi-client data, CGG can contribute to the identification of suitable storage sites in depleted oil and gas reservoirs and aquifers.
