The Compressed Gas Association (CGA) bestowed its prestigious safety awards at the Annual Safety Awards Banquet, held in conjunction with the CGA Annual Meeting at the Harbor Beach Marriott Resort at Fort Lauderdale in Florida, recognising the efforts of Praxair, Scott Specialty Gases and Linde Gas North America among a plethora of others.
Held on the 18th March 2008, the CGA is proud to pay tribute to its members and their dedication to making the industry safer for the employees, distributors, and the public – with a number of prestigious awards to reflect this.
Praxair Inc. and Western International Gas and Cylinders Inc. were both rewarded for safety performance of bulk gas transportation over More than 20 million miles and Less than 20 million miles respectively, through the Fleet Safety Excellence Awards. The fleet safety awards also recognised the efforts of safe cylinder gas transportation, again honouring Western International Gas and Cylinders for the Less than 3 million miles category and Linde Gas North America LLC for the More than 3 million miles category.
The fleet awards are all based on a CGA Member Company’s total Vehicle Accident Frequency Rate.
