Chart Industries has joined forces with Ballard Power Systems to develop long range, quick refuelling and low-cost heavy-duty hydrogen-powered vehicles.
The North American companies yesterday (10th Feb) signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for project that will develop vehicles such as buses, trucks, trains and marine vessels.
Confirming details of the partnership, Chart said it will provide its liquid hydrogen expertise, from liquefaction plants to storage, fuelling and on-board tanks.
An existing liquid hydrogen onboard vehicle tank prototype design will also be offered by Chart, along with fuel to vehicle connection and interface experience
