Chart commissions fourth LNG/LCNG fuelling station in Finland

Chart has commissioned a fourth natural gas vehicle (NGV) fuelling station close to Helsinki Vantaa airport.

The public station, owned and operated by Gasum, is further helping to develop the country’s natural gas fuelling infrastructure alongside its other Chart designed and built counterparts in Helsinki Vuosaari, Turku and Jyväskylä. It is now open to the public and has served its first customers.

Commenting on this latest addition to the fuelling network, Pavel Mátl, Chart Ferox’s Business Director, said, “Chart shares the view that natural gas will play an increased role in the transport sector. It’s very exciting to see the commitment of major truck OEMs, through the availability of modern LNG powered vehicles, and progressive companies, like Gasum, investing in the fuelling infrastructure to keep demand and supply in tandem.”

Chart’s latest fuelling station is equipped to serve various types of LNG fuelled trucks and incorporates a CNG module and dispenser for cars and vans, which can accommodate two vehicles simultaneously.
