Leading industrial manufacturer Chart Industries (Chart) has strengthened its reputation as a company ‘at the forefront of the clean energy transition’ by winning the Emissions Reductions Champion – Organisations of the Year award at Gastech 2021 held in Dubai.
Described by Chart as an award that celebrates an organisation that is ‘going above and beyond’ in its climate change and emission reduction commitments, it comes after the company has made significant advances in carbon emission reduction.
Calling it an ‘honour’ to receive the award, Jill Evanko, President, CEO, Chart, said, “We are very proud of our focus on achieve a 30% reduction in our carbon emissions by 2030, and are well on our way having reduced greenhouse gas (GHG) intensity by “6%, Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by 9% and total energy consumption by 16% in 2020 alone.”
Chart stated that it wants to continue to lead the clean energy transition by providing various technologies and services centred around liquefied natural gas (LNG), hydrogen, biogas and carbon capture.
