Chart Industries has today (14th Dec) completed the acquisition of Earthly Labs, a small-scale carbon capture systems provider based in Austin, Texas.
Since its inception, Earthly Labs has utilised Chart’s cryogenic carbon dioxide (CO2) storage tanks, vaporisers and regulators as a standard offering to customers, but the new announcement will further strengthen the reach of its technology.
As gasworld report in its recent CO2 Food and Beverage issue, Earthly Labs footprint CiCi® technology can capture, recycle, reuse, track and sell CO2. Key end-users for such technology include breweries and cannabis farms.
Jill Evanko, President and CEO of Chart Industries, said, “Earthly Labs’ small-scale carbon capture solution is a natural fit for our portfolio given the complementary end markets, sustainable portfolio and customers that need CO2 in the production and packaging of beer, wine, cannabis and food.”
