Chart Industries Inc. Energy and Chemicals Group has leased an additional 36,000sq.ft building on 134 acres near its existing fabrication facility in New Iberia, LA USA. The company is expanding its production capacity to support current vacuum insulated pipe (VIP) order backlog, and meet the increasing demand for Chart’s products in the global LNG supply chain.
Chart’s VIP product include independent piping designs for large, site-constructed LNG storage tanks, and the transfer of LNG for long distances from ship to shore and is available in large inner-line diameters up to 48 inches.
Chart’s VIP product includes a robust double wall construction providing a higher degree of safety and reduces the need for costly maintenance, and allows for the system to be installed under ground, sub-sea on the ocean floor or above ground along a jetty structure.
