Chart introduces their latest evolution in the ‘REAL’ environmental test chamber product line.
Chart’s line of environmental test chambers allows its customers to improve product quality, shorten time to market and reduce warranty costs. The test chambers enable customers to conduct Highly Accelerated Life Testing (HALT), in which products are subjected to extreme temperatures, rapid thermal transitions and vibration. The process determines the operational limits expected in the field environment.
The REAL-20 chamber is the smallest in Chart’s HALT range. It enables the testing of potential failure modes in smaller products that do not require the use of larger chambers like the REAL-30 or REAL-48 systems.
President of Chart’s Distribution & Storage Group, Thomas Carey, explained the advantages of the REAL-20, “The REAL-20 chamber makes our liquid nitrogen enabled cooling technology and six-degree-of-freedom vibration system available to customers testing smaller products. Providing customers who are testing smaller components with smaller chambers at a cost close to 20% lower than the next chamber size currently available significantly reduces the cost of entry into the reliability testing arena.”
