Chart Industries and Wolf Carbon Solutions are looking to slash emissions in the Midwest US, with the deployment of cryogenic capture technology along a proposed carbon pipeline system running from Iowa to Illinois.
The duo today (29th July) inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the effort that will support refineries, cement, steel and petrochemical players to capture, transport and sequester CO2 emissions from industrial facilities.
In order to do this, Chart’s Sustainable Energy Solutions technology will be deployed at a number of agreed ‘host sites’. Emitted CO2 will then be captured by the technology and then permanently sequestered in Wolf Carbon Solutions’ Mt. Simon Hub pipeline.
