The Chiles Antitrust Court has fined four global gas giants for colluding in a medical liquid oxygen supply case.
The local units of Air Liquide, Indura in which the BOC Group owns a 40 per cent stake, Aga SA, a unit of Germany’s Linde and Praxair were each given fines amounting to less than $1 million.
According to Linde spokesman, the groups Argentina based subsidiary AGA was fined $750,000 related to its medical gases business. He said: “We will appeal against this decision as we dont think it was justified.”
According to the court the companies tender to supply oxygen to public hospitals failed.
