In the latest push to reduce its carbon emission output, and working towards a goal of an emission free fleet by 2020, UK courier firm CitySprint is trialling a hydrogen (H2) van to complete same day deliveries in London.
Working in partnership with Mitie, and produced by Renault, the van is powered by a battery and H2 fuel cell, allowing for travel of up 200 miles.
CitySprint’s Chief Executive, Patrick Gallagher, highlighted, “Since the launch of our green fleet this August, we’ve already cut back our carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions by as much as 10 tonnes.”
