The sale of all diesel and petrol cars and vans is to be banned from 2040 in the UK in an effort to tackle air pollution.
The commitment is part of the Governments Air Quality Plan which hopes to make every car and van on UK roads to be zero emission by 2050.
ITM Power, the energy storage and clean fuel company, welcomes the new government proposal calling it ‘an historic first step towards cleaner and greener transport in the UK.’
