CO2 Solutions Inc., developer of enzyme-enabled carbon capture technology, will be presenting the results of a life cycle assessment (LCA) of the corporation’s technology at the Carbon Capture, Utilisation and Storage conference in Nashville, Tennessee.
CO2 Solutions has been actively working to develop and commercialise the technology for stationary sources of carbon pollution. CO2 Solutions’ technology lowers the cost barrier to carbon capture, utilisation and sequestration (CCUS), positioning it as a viable carbon dioxide (CO2) mitigation tool, as well as enabling industry to derive profitable new products from these emissions.
Richard Surprenant, Chief Technology Officer, will present the findings of an LCA study, prepared in collaboration with a third party of existing carbon capture technologies such as the corporation’s enzyme-enabled carbon capture technology, an amine-based capture technology and the UNO MK3 capture. The results of this study demonstrate, by a wide margin, the smaller environmental footprint of the enzymatic technology.
