Coregas, formerly Linde Gas Pty Ltd and now under the ownership of Wesfarmers Limited, held the official opening of its new nitrogen liquefier in Port Kembla, New South Wales in Australia on 2nd April 2008.

A major participant in the Australian gas market, Coregas produces oxygen, nitrogen, argon and hydrogen at its Port Kembla operations and the new nitrogen liquefier unit was opened at the ceremony by Tim Bult, Managing Director of Wesfarmers.

Also in attendance was Ralph Day, Managing Director of Australia’s Cryoquip Pty Ltd – one of the world’s leading fabricators of cryogenic vaporizers and industrial gas equipment. Able to design, engineer, and fabricate directly from customers P&ID’s or from existing fabrication drawings, Cryoquip supplied and installed the road tanker filling system on site of the new development and was present to see the opening of the new facility.

Now a business unit of the Wesfarmers Energy Division following the purchase in February 2007, Coregas produces and distributes oxygen, nitrogen, argon and a broad range of other gases for industrial, medical and specialty gas applications.
