Cryostar has been awarded a contract by The Linde Group’s Gases Division to equip the biggest filling plant in Germany, in Unterschleissheim, a site that aims to become a European platform dedicated to medical and industrial gas supply.
The company will provide a fully automated turnkey filling station – including all the equipment from the piston pumps through to the cylinder’s valves connections – as well as the associated solutions and technologies, interfaces and automation.
Cryostar will also provide the complete engineering and commissioning for those deliveries.
All of which will, in the second quarter of 2017, result in a filling station that will have the capacity to fill more than 750,000 cylinders per year. The plant will continue to operate during its expansion and will feature ‘outstanding technical challenges’ with a modular and standardised installation compliant with GAMP 5 guidelines and food safety standards.
