Dan-Unity receives AIP for two liquid CO2 carriers

Dan-Unity CO2’s 12,500 cubic meter capacity and 22,000 cubic meter capability CO2-carrying vessel designs are one step closer to reality.

The 50/50 joint venture between Navigator and Evergas on Wednesday (24th Nov) confirmed that it has received approval in principle from Classification Society America Bureau of Shipping for the proposed carriers.

Oeyvind Lindeman, Chief Commercial Officer at Navigator, said, “We’re pleased to announce this important milestone which will enable Navigator’s Dan-Unity CO2 joint venture to consider the next step in the process of developing these CO2 carriers.”
