Independent energy expert and assurance provider DNV will work with Denmark’s national transmission system operator electricity and gas, Energinet TSO (Energinet), to advance the country’s Power to X (PtX) ‘green deal’ projects.
After being awarded four frame contracts with Energinet, DNV will lead the work scopes relating to authorities, regulations, and standards for the scaling up of PtX projects.
This will enable the country to follow the European Green Deal strategy for decarbonisation, which includes optimising gas networks to transport low-carbon energy carriers such as hydrogen and other PtX gases, which require new or re-purposed infrastructure.
