Driving Tomorrow! from Tokyo

The longest international motor show, Tokyo Motor Show, kicks off on Saturday in Japan.

The 17-day long fair is set to bring 1.5 million visitors – well above the 1.42 million recorded two years ago – to the showground Makuhari Messe based in Chiba City.

Mr Itara Koeda, chairman of the organising body Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association (JAMA) says this year’s motor show is a good opportunity for automakers looking to screen potential partners from the contacts in the world of fuel cell car development.

Visitors can expect to experience the world’s most advanced technologies and designs, while at the same time serving as a source of up-to-the-minute information on interactions between the automobile and motorised society, focusing on the evolution of the automobile in ever more environment-friendly directions.
