Air Products and Chemicals Inc. is looking to continue its impressive earnings growth in the forthcoming year, having announced it is targeting double-digit growth in fiscal 2008 on a strong project workload and continued growth in global manufacturing.
The company has revealed it expects to earn $4.80 to $5 per share in fiscal 2008, from fiscal 2007 earnings per share from continuing operations of $4.67.
For the first quarter, Air Products is targeting income of $1.08 to $1.13 and on average, analysts surveyed by Thomson Financial forecast a profit of $1.13 per share in the December quarter and $4.89 per share for the fiscal year.
Air Products has said the company seeks a 100 basis point margin improvement in fiscal 2008 and a 300 basis point increase over the next 3 years.
