The Compressed Gas Association (CGA) presented an Environmental Recognition Award to Matheson Tri-Gas at the CGA annual meeting, which was held on March 19 in St Petersburg, Florida. Bill Kroll, Chairman and CEO; Kelvin Dixon, Vice President Risk Management; and Bonnie Stanage, Vice President Safety and Compliance, represented the entire Matheson Tri-Gas Team in accepting the award.
Matheson Tri-Gas was recognized with this award because its Newark, California facility successfully upgraded its wastewater generation processes to eliminate off-site disposal of 10-12,000 gallons of wastewater per week. The facility was able to isolate one wastewater stream, and this wastewater is now being sold as an alternative raw material. This new process reduced both the total amount of wastewater being discharged, and the necessary wastewater treatment.
$quot; Our Corporate Environmental Policy states: Matheson Tri-Gas, Inc. is committed to the prevention of pollution and to continually improve our environmental performance,$quot; said Bill Kroll. $quot;Environmental responsibility is one of Matheson Tri-Gas’ core values, and we will continue to invest in processes to ensure adherence to this value. All of our teammates should be very proud of what we have accomplished and that all our hard work has been recognized,$quot; continued Kroll.
