Epicam announced as finalist of Shell Springboard Awards – Dearman extends congratulations

Epicam, an advanced engine developer focused on post-carbon clean power, is one of the businesses announced as a regional winner of the Shell Springboard Awards.

The Cambridge-based firm, which is developing technology to enable the storage and deployment of energy using liquid air, scooped a £40,000 ($56,800) prize fund and is entered into the Shell Springboard National Final. The final will take place in March, when Epicam will compete against two other companies for a further £110,000 ($156,000) award.

It is excellent news that an innovative British company can compete on a platform such as this and gain well-deserved recognition.

Dearman, a fellow clean cold technology corporation, was the first to offer its congratulations to Epicam, with Toby Peters, CEO of Dearman, saying, “Epicam’s progress to the national final of this highly competitive award goes to show that liquid air technologies are gaining ever- greater recognition. It is excellent news that an innovative British company can compete on a platform such as this and gain well-deserved recognition.”
