EQTEC is to sell its Deeside waste recycling project for £15m to an undisclosed investor.
The 6.27ha project off Weighbridge Road is located on Deeside Industrial Estate and adjacent to the Toyota Deeside Engine Plant, in Flintshire, north Wales, on a site that was formerly a Gaz de Francepower station. Applications include electricity, biomethane and hydrogen.
EQTEC was a co-developer and gasification technology provider of the project, in partnership with Logik Developments.
The site currently has planning permission for a waste recycling facility, 2MW anaerobic digestion facility and 9.9MWe advanced gasification facility.
