Announced today (12th Dec), the funding is part of the EU’s Connecting Europe Facility for Energy (CEF-E) programme, a policy that aims to support investments in building new cross-border energy infrastructure in Europe or upgrading the existing one.

As part of a joint venture, a shared liquefaction and export terminal be constructed by Air Liquide and Fluxys to enable CO2 liquefaction, buffer stages and marine loading facilities for cross-border shipping, marking the first phase of Antwerp@C – an initiative started up by major energy players with the goal to halve CO2 emissions in the Antwerp port area by 2030.
