TIMCO CNG has just opened its second natural gas refueling station in Inglewood, CA, LAX Lennox District, Los Angeles International Airport. The new CNG station is located at 11144 S. La Cienega, near I-405 and I-105 freeways.
Evergreen CNG Systems, Inc., a division of Gas & Air Systems, Inc., Hellertown, PA, provided the compression equipment and engineering assistance for TIMCO, San Clemente, CA, for its second CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) station. The company also operates a CNG station in Santa Ana, CA, a quarter mile from the I-5 freeway.
The new station has six nozzles on three dispensers. One hose offers a CT-5000 high-flow nozzle for heavy-duty vehicles. Two Evergreen 300 hp compressors provide flow rates up to 810 scfm with approximately 900 GGE (Gasoline Gallon Equivalent)/hour peak supply. The station is unmanned and monitored remotely.
Bob O’Brien, Vice President of Gas & Air Systems, commented: “We are pleased to have had the opportunity to provide the compression and engineering assistance for this second TIMCO CNG station at LAX. We previously had commissioned TIMCO’s first CNG station in Santa Ana. Natural gas is a win-win: refueling costs less while being cleaner for the environment!”
