Fijian gas suppliers BOC Limited has issued a statement reassuring patients and the community of Fiji’s largest hospital that there are sufficient supplies of oxygen to cater for the institutions needs.
The statement was issued after claims that there was a shortage of oxygen at the Colonial War Memorial Hospital. However, BOC Limited explains that the shortage of oxygen was due to a breakdown in its Fiji based medical gas plant and they have flown in maintenance teams to address the issue.
The company also confirms that additional supplies have been shipped in to ensure the continued supply of gas to all hospitals in Fiji.
