First orders of Mercedes-Benz GLC F-Cell despatched

Daimler AG, German multinational automotive corporation and owner of the Mercedes-Benz brand, will be handing over the first Mercedes-Benz GLC F-Cell models to selected customers in the German market. These include various ministries, the National Organisation for Hydrogen (NOW) and H2 Mobility, as well as Deutsche Bahn.

This year will see Daimler continue the deliveries of their fuel cell cars to companies active in the hydrogen (H2) market such as Air Liquide, Shell and Linde as well as to the cities of Stuttgart and Hamburg.

In view of the new technology and the fact that the H2 filling station network has only just started to expand, the market launch of the GLC F-CELL is taking place in selected metropolitan regions. Above all the focus is on major cities which are already comparatively well equipped with H2 filling stations, such as Stuttgart, Düsseldorf, Berlin, Hamburg, Frankfurt, Munich and Cologne.
