Earlier today, Foster Wheeler AG publicised the award of a significant CCS project in the UK. Located in Yorkshire, Umberto della Sala described the firm as, “delighted to win the project management.”
The contract value remains undisclosed but the initial booking will be incorporated in the company’s fourth quarter 2011 bookings. The project is to be located at the Don Valley Power Project in Stainforth, Yorkshire. The project is part of a carbon capture, utilisation and storage scheme (CCS) being developed by 2Co Power Limited. It will comprise a 900MW installed capacity integrated coal gasification combined cycle (IGCC) power plant, CO2transportation, and storage combined with enhanced oil recovery.
