Foster Wheeler Ltd’s UK-headquartered subsidiary, Foster Wheeler Energy Limited, has been awarded the prestigious Order of Distinction Award for Occupational Health and Safety by the UK’s Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA).
The Order of Distinction Award is only presented to those companies which have achieved at least 15 consecutive RoSPA Gold Awards for outstanding health and safety performance on projects in the UK and around the world.
“Safety is, and always has been, our prime focus. We are very proud of our safety achievements, but constantly strive to ‘raise the bar’ and deliver an even better performance,” said Michael J. Beaumont, Chairman and CEO of Foster Wheeler Energy Limited.
David Rawlins, Awards Manager for RoSPA explained the example set by the company as he said, “Foster Wheeler has shown a commitment to protecting the health and well-being of its employees and others. We hope other businesses and organizations will follow its lead and strive for continuous improvement in health and safety management.”
