JSC Mozyr Oil Refinery has awarded Foster Wheeler Italiana SPA a contract for basic design of a grassroots hydrogen production unit.
The unit will be at its 323,300 b/d refinery in Belarus and Foster Wheeler will also supply materials for the steam methane reformer and provide technical assistance during construction, commissioning and start-up.
The unit is scheduled to be in operation by 2007 and will produce 25,000 cubic metres an hour of high-purity hydrogen.
Terms of the award were not disclosed.
