Fueling station opened in Orlando, Florida

Air Products’ hydrogen technology was officially put into operation this week with the opening of a fueling station in Orlando, Florida.

$quot;We are pleased to have provided equipment to this project in Florida and congratulate Chevron with successfully constructing and commissioning the fueling station,$quot; said Dan Rabun, Air Products’ business development manager for Hydrogen Energy Systems at Air Products.

Designed and constructed by Chevron Hydrogen Company, a division of Chevron U.S.A. Inc., the hydrogen fueling station is located near the Orlando Airport and will fuel a fleet of shuttle buses powered by modified internal combustion engines.

Mr Rabun explained the collaboration between the compnaies saying, $quot;Air Products’ Series 300 hydrogen compression, storage and dispensing technology was integrated by Chevron into its advanced fueling station design for this project. He continued, $quot;This is the first hydrogen fueling equipment we have provided Chevron and we are pleased to begin this collaborative relationship. The goal is to advance system equipment and engineering in all aspects of safety, operability, and reliability.$quot;
