Fujikin’s new plant in Vietnam finished

Fujikin has held a ceremony to mark the completion of its new Vietnamese plant at Thang Long Industrial Park in Hanoi. The plant, which will be the core production base of the company, is now into full-scale operation.

About 200 people attended the ceremony, which included members of the Vietnamese government, Fujikin customers, and people involved in the construction. Also two members of Fujikins top management, president Hiroshi Ogawa and vice-chairman Yukio Sezaki attended the event. The day also saw a number of other visitors from Japan, the US, Taiwan, Korea and Vietnam.

Mr. Ogawa said: ‘It was some four to five years ago that we began considering the construction of a plant in the Asian region with the purpose of reducing production costs. I went to inspect areas and conducted surveys and as a result of all of this, we decided in the spring of 2002 to move into Hanoi with a plant.
