Gas Sensing Solutions (GSS) has received the Physics Innovation Award at the Houses of Parliament

Gas Sensing Solutions (GSS) has received the Physics Innovation Award at the Houses of Parliament. The award from the Institute of Physics (IOP) recognises GSS’ creation of a high-speed and low-power CO2 gas sensor.

The company Executive Chairman, Prof. Des Gibson; Managing Director, Alan Henderson and Operations and Technical Director, Calum MacGregor, were invited to Parliament to receive the award. The esteemed physics prize was presented at a showcase exhibition led by Baroness Neville-Rolfe, the Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills.

GSS, located in Cumbernauld, Scotland, was founded in 2006. Trading began in 2008 with an initial focus on safety, spillage, flue gas analysers, internal air quality (IAQ) and heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) sectors.

In 2010, GSS Launched COZIR, the World’s Lowest Power Consumption NDIR CO2 Sensor, and recently introduced SprintIR, the World’s Fastest Response NDIR CO2 Sensor.
