The Gazprom Board of Directors took note of the information considering the company’s marketing policy in the international markets of small- and large-scale LNG supply as well as approved Gazprom’s updated LNG Production and Supply Strategy.
It was pointed out that Gazprom was successfully developing the LNG sales and transportation segments. Within quite a short period of time the company has become a full-fledged participant of the global LNG trade, enjoying the well-deserved confidence of consumers.
At present, Gazprom has the experience of supply to more than ten countries worldwide. It gives the company’s activities additional competitive advantages, inter alia, due to swaps and supply optimisation. Gazprom’s LNG sales efficiently compliment pipeline supply, making it possible to enter new gas markets.
Gazprom’s main efforts for expanding large-scale LNG exports are focused on the fast-growing Asia-Pacific market. The company will step up its presence in the new market primarily through increasing the production of its own LNG.
