Linde North America has commissioned a new air separation plant in Cartersville, Georgia, 40 miles northwest of Atlanta.

From Cartersville, the produced gases are trucked to hospitals, food processors, metals and chemicals manufacturers in Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina and Tennessee.
Linde has seen demand in the Southeast increase steadily over the past few years, driven mostly by food processing and metals manufacturing. Linde notes that the location enables it to optimise its distribution patterns by freeing up production at existing plants in Alabama, North and South Carolina in order to better serve customers.
