Taiyo Nippon Sanso, who acquired the helium business handled by the former BOC in the US and Europe, has successfully established its own production facility for liquid helium containers at its Keihin plant.
Japan Helium Centre, a subsidiary company involved in the helium business, has decided to produce containers for its own use and has already developed the technical ability to do so. Having produced 3 last year, the intention is to produce an additional 10 units for its own use and not to sale to third party customers.
The company has previously procured containers by borrowing them from BOC as their source and as part of that agreement, were able to acquire the commercial rights and supply facilities for helium from BOC as part of the recent BOC acquisition by the Linde group.
