xperion Energy & Environment, a newly-acquired subsidiary of composite cylinder producer Hexagon Composites, has received a substantial order for high-pressure hydrogen (H2) cylinders from Air Products GmbH in Germany.
Air Products will use the X-STORE® high-pressure cylinders to transport H2 to German industrial customers via trailers. Deliveries are scheduled to commence by the end of the month and through the second quarter of 2017.
Hexagon Composites Group has established a strong position in the European H2 transport market having previously delivered mobile transport modules and transport cylinders to leading H2 distributors in the region.
This new contract with the Tier One player is expected to further enhance the company’s presence in this field in Europe. Financial details were not disclosed.
