The Fortune 100 Company, Honeywell has released an updated version of its successful level gauge. Thanks to recent adaptations the device is now equipped with a Servo Auto Test feature.
The 854 Servo level gauge’s adaptations have been approved for Safety Integrity Level 2 and 3 applications and are designed to enable high-accuracy level measurements in bulk storage tanks during inventory control and custody transfer applications. According to Honeywell, this has increased the gauge’s diagnostic coverage.
John Joosten, Product Manager at Honeywell Process Solutions, explained the need for such devices: “Several serious accidents within the last few years have increased the awareness of process safety and how it can better protect people, the environment and assets.”
He added, “Overfill protection also prevents the legal ramifications that can impact companies in countries with overfilled tank penalties. The modification to the 854 Servo level gauge will help facilities take needed steps towards those bigger-picture objectives of overfilling monitoring.”
