Hydrogen purifier purchase for China

Chinese semiconductor manufacturers have bought two more bulk hydrogen purifiers from the Johnson Matthey Gas Purification Technology group, for LED epiwafer production processes in the Pacific Rim.

Gallium nitride-based LED epiwafer and chip maker Shanghai Blue Technology has purchased a GPT-30 bulk purifier and a GPT-20 bulk purifier has been sold to HC Semitek Co Ltd of Wulhan University science Park. The units have been sold through Johnson Matthey’s distributor Gentech International, responsible for sales, training and service throughout China.

$quot;China’s compound semiconductor market is one of the fastest growing in Asia. We anticipate significant sales growth in China for Johnson Matthey purifiers and related technology,$quot; commented Sean Peng, Asian sales manager of Gas Purification for the GPT group.
