HyGear, an onsite gas generation specialist, has successfully implemented its hydrogen (H2) production technology for Düzce Cam Sanayive Ticaret A.Ş. in Turkey.
By installing its onsite Hy.GEN generator, The Netherlands-based business will supply the Turkish corporation’s new float glass production line with high-purity hydrogen (H2).
The Hy.GEN is based on small-scale steam reforming, converting natural gas to H2. HyGear also included a back-up storage facility with the installation, in order to optimise the security of supply.
With this expansion of its new float glass line, Düzce Cam’s production capacity will increase by 250,000 tonnes each year, reaching a total annual capacity of 440,500 tonnes.
