Hypertherm outlines ambitious 2030 goals in Corporate Social Responsibility Report

Hypertherm wants to become a climate neutral company and eliminate 50% of its waste by 2030, the US-based industrial cutting systems and software company confirmed in its 2020 Corporate Social Responsibility Report released today (5th Oct).

As well as focusing on itself as a company, Hypertherm’s report also unveiled ambitions to cut carbon emitted from its customers down by 50%. According to the report, the use of the company’s products by customers is its largest negative environmental impact.

Whilst 2030 goals and ambitions are a central aspect of the released document, the company’s response to the global coronavirus pandemic (Covid-19) is also highlighted. As outlined in the report, when Covid-19 hit, Hypertherm took immediate action to care for its 1,800 associates worldwide to ensure the strengthening of its operations.

Personal protective equipment (PPE) was central to Hypertherm’s effort during the height of Covid-19, with a cross-functional team of New Hampshire Association using the company’s innovations and resources to design solutions that could protect those who needed the equipment.
