Ice cream manufacturer donates cryogenic freezer for Covid-19 vaccine storage

A cryogenic freezer donated by Chapmans, a Canadian ice cream and ice waters products manufacturer, will soon be storing Covid-19 vaccines in the Windsor-Essex County Health Unit.

Yesterday afternoon (3rd March), The Grey Bruce Health Unit enabled the freezer to be forwarded to the Windsor-Essex County Health Unit. 

The freezer provides cold storage at -70°C and will be used in Windsor-Essex for their use in storage of Covid-19 Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine.
