The major industrial gases event held in China, IG China 2006, took place in Beijing in September. Over 170 exhibitors and 2000 visitors from the industry attended both the Exhibition and the Gases Forum. gasworld attended this event and officially launched a bi-monthly Chinese version of the magazine for the Chinese industrial gases community.
The Exhibition
The exhibition included a number of international equipment suppliers from both Europe and the US. Herose had a prominent stand, exhibiting its complete range of cryogenic valves. Dirk Zschalich stated that he was very pleased by the response and visits to their exhibition. Cryogenic Industries, with its branch in China, had two stands including its CryoQuip subsidiary.
Cryostar from France was present and its managing director Dan Meyer was pleased with the attendance on its stand. Cryostar opened an office in China a few years ago.
Taylor-Wharton had a major stand for the first time in a few years. The company is currently building a new factory in China.
