IMI Critical Engineering Greater China opens new all-operations unit near Shanghai

IMI Critical Engineering Greater China, a critical flow control solution specialist, has opened its new facility in Qingpu, China, encompassing its manufacturing capabilities, business management and sales operations under one roof.

The inauguration of the 6,459 m2 Qingpu Plant situated near Shanghai is a major step towards the company’s ‘In China, For China’ business plan.

IMI Critical announced a fund of RMB 100m ($15m) for local manufacturing capabilities in the North Pacific rim country in September 2015, with this new site opening just 10 months later.

China is one of the most important markets for IMI and we plan to grow our business over the next five years and beyond

The new facility will manufacture a range of control valves and isolation valves such as globe valves, gate valves and other relevant actuators and control units for power, oil and gas, petrochemical, chemical and other energy industries for critical applications.
