Increased specificity and sensitivity in Mocon’s adaptation

Baseline-MOCON, Inc. has released a new 10.0Ev lamp energy level for its piD-TECH® plus photoionisation sensor line.

The new lamp promises users increased specificity when detecting the presence of volatile organic compounds (VOC) such as benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and xylene (BTEX).

The new lamp provides improved BTEX compound analysis over previously available energies. It boasts increased specificity over the 10.6 eV and increased sensitivity over the 9.6 eV options.

According to Mocon, the new sensors are suited to instrumentation manufacturers who want to add state-of-the-art, low-level VOC detection to their portable or stationary monitors. The piD-TECH® plus line aims to set a new standard by being able to measure concentrations lower than previously possible with other comparably-sized sensors.
