Energy infrastructure firm Sempra Infrastructure will supply chemicals-and-energy company INEOS with 1.4 million tonnes per annum (mtpa) of LNG from the Port Arthur LNG facility, located in Texas, under a newly signed 20-year contract.
The 1.4mtpa will come from Phase 1 of the project, with the first deliveries expected in 2027. INOES has also signed a non-binding head of agreement (HOA) for the potential purchase of an additional 0.2mtpa from Phase 2.
