The International Institute of Refrigeration (IIR) has created a new Working Group on Careers in Refrigeration (CaRe) which centres on promoting careers in the refrigeration industry to the younger generation and women.
The initiative was born after two successful networking events held by the IIR last year – the ‘Reception for Students and Young Researchers’ event and the ‘Women in Refrigeration’ workshop.
As such, CaRe seeks to build general awareness around the importance of the industry and aims to identify potential stumbling blocks that could stop the younger generation holding a career within the sector.
