ITM Power bags contract to deploy hydrogen station in France for HDF

ITM Power, the energy storage and clean fuel company, has bagged a contract with hydrogen (H2) energy operator, Hydrogène de France (HDF), to deploy an integrated H2 refuelling station.

The contract, worth €1.5m ($1.6m), will be commissioned in mid-2017 and will be partly funded by the EU as part of the H2ME2 Fuel Cells and Hydrogen Joint Undertaking (FCH JU) project, which was officially rolled out on the 14th June.

The onsite electrolyser will serve both individual fuel cell vehicles (FCVs) and local captive fleets in France using 350-700bar refuelling technology.

This equipment is not only the first step in our deployment of H2 mobility but also a key component in our offer of grid balancing services

Damien Havard, CEO of HDF

Once delivered by the UK-based company, HDF will then be responsible for the installation, operation and maintenance of the station.
