Japan Air Gases start new Helium Liquefier unit at Kobe University

The “HELIAL™ 1000” helium liquefier system has been manufactured by Air Liquide for Kobe University.

The liquefier is said to be easy to use and integrates the latest technologies in terms of ultra-low cryogenic temperatures offering optimal safety, reliability and efficiency.

The HELIAL™ 1000 was ordered from JAG by the Cryogenic Division of the Centre for Support of Research and Education Activities at Kobe University.
The system is designed to provide cost-competitive solutions for this centres fundamental research conducted in a broad area of natural sciences including superconductivity, nanotechnology and quantum phenomena.

At the launching ceremony on the 27th April, the President of Kobe University said,“This helium liquefier, which we inaugurate today, plays an important role for the Centre’s activities, where cryogenic experimentation is critical to our research. I strongly hope that this will contribute to the development of our research projects at Kobe University”.
