Keadby 3 Carbon Capture Power Station granted consent

The application for the Keadby 3 Carbon Capture Power Station has been granted development consent by The Rt. Hon Grant Shapps, Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy.

The application involves a combined cycle gas turbine (CCGT) power station, comprising a CCGT unit with a capacity of up to 910MW electrical output (gross), carbon capture and compression plant, electrical, gas, and cooling water connections, and associated development.

The application was submitted to the Planning Inspectorate for consideration by Keadby Generation last June.
